With the use of Helical, Evanesant, Combline, Interdigital, Dielectric Resonator, and Waveguide typologies, ComNav engineering can select the correct filter for your application with the minimum of compromises. ComNav Engineering’s cavity filters are “over-designed” at the beginning of the process. This prevents the need for coupling adjustment, further reducing size, and testing cost.

For our TEM, Combline, and Interdigital products, ComNav has developed a method of temperature compensation that has minimal effect on Unloaded Q, and yields temperature performance of < 5 ppm in aluminum. This eliminates the need for Invar or multi-part constuction. By machining the entire structure from a single piece of Aluminum, cost is significantly reduced. The 5 ppm temperature stability allows ComNav to reduce resonator count, thereby reducing loss and group delay variation.

By using modern materials, CNC machining, Super Q ceramics, and temperature compensated Aluminum cavities, ComNav is able to achieve performance, production yields and consistent high production that rivals anyone in the industry.
